First visit
What is good to know? How to be prepared?
When you give us a call to schedule your first appointment, if you have insurance, please have your insurance card handy. If you book your first appointment online, please fill out ALL the boxes.
*We need your email to send our online intake forms so we can also request that.
We will send the intake form through your email.
Please fill them out and submit them 48 hours before your appointment.
This will give us enough time to prepare for your initial visit.
Please arrive 10~15 minutes before the appointment to fill out some additional forms.
Please do not brush your tongue or drink coffee or candy that stains your tongue.
Please do not wear skin lotion or make-up if possible.
We will provide the gown to change during the session.
Many patients are worried about the needle pain, but most patients say the needle pain is not as bad as they expected. You may relieve the needle pain concern from the first acupuncture visit, but discomfort is necessary to send a signal to the brain properly to regulate the Qi and Blood circulation. If you have a fear, please tell the acupuncture provider. We will adjust the quantity and intensity of the needle.
