Join the chronic headache self-care program

We are enrolling 100 participants who have had chronic headaches for more than three months to measure real-world improvement through a structured self-care program. You will learn techniques to help with your headaches as well as ways your family members can assist you with the process.

Who qualifies?

Requirements to participate:

  • You have experienced chronic headaches for more than 3 months

  • Your Headache Impact Test (HIT-6) score is 56 or higher

  • You are willing to participate for 2 months

Please choose the type of initial evaluation when you filled out the form.

50-Minute
In-Person Class

In-Person Class

  • 360° neck & shoulder tension mapping

  • How to find the tender spots

  • Correct release technique and acupressure

  • Partner-based practice (You can bring a family member)

  • Safety protocols

Most participants experience noticeable intensity reduction during class. (Individual responses vary.)

1-month community support

You may attend virtual group sessions throughout the month to support regular practice and stress regulation:

Energy (기) Circulation Group Exercise (20 minutes)

This gentle whole-body stretching session helps improve circulation, release muscle tension, and support neck and shoulder mobility. Inspired by Korean Ki (energy) cultivation exercise, the movements help open the body’s energy pathways (meridians) and promote smoother circulation. When circulation improves, breathing becomes deeper and more efficient, allowing the body to receive more oxygen and support natural energy. These simple stretches help the body feel lighter, more relaxed, and balanced throughout the day.

Stress Relief Group Exercise (10 minutes)

This short guided session helps calm the mind and release built-up stress. Participants practice gentle stress shaking, deep breathing, and brief meditation focusing on the lower abdomen to help settle racing thoughts and bring attention back to the body’s center. Deep breathing is one of the fastest ways to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, helping the body relax and recover from stress. This exercise can help reduce tension, quiet the mind, and support emotional balance throughout the day.

Consistency matters more than perfection. You are encouraged to attend sessions that fit your schedule to build a self-care routine throughout the month and beyond.

If you want to have a sample class, you can make an appointment for one of virtual group class above.

Research

Participation requirements:

To remain in the program, you agree to:

Fill out weekly tracking forms:

  • Headache days / Average headache intensity / Peak intensity

  • Medication usage for headache

  • Usage of self-care tools / Group class participation

Fill out a monthly survey:

  • Routine weekly tracking

  • Headache Impact Test (HIT-6) reassessment

Tracking allows us to evaluate measurable changes. All data is de-identified and used for research analysis.

Our goal: 100 participants

Meaningful data requires scale. With 100 chronic headache participants, we can:

  • Evaluate intensity reduction trends

  • Assess changes in headache intensity and frequency

  • Analyze medication usage patterns

  • Examine adherence to structured self-care

  • Study the impact of group participation

You are not just attending a class. You are contributing to measurable outcomes for self-care awareness.

Support the movement

The program is free of charge, but we appreciate support through voluntary donation.

$148 – Individual Supporter

Gives access to the programs.

$296 – Movement Builder

Helps sponsor an additional participant and supports research operations.

$500 – Research Advocate
