Acupuncture for neck & upper back pain

We strive to give patients the best and more efficient care so that they can “live life with less pain”.

Neck and upper back pain is the most commonly treated condition at Silverlake Clinic. This pain can limit your movements and capabilities. If you do not do anything to lessen your pain, it can get worse and spread, limiting you even further than previously.

Since the modern world includes constant usages of cellphones , tablets and computers, anyone can experience this condition to some degree. Here at Silverlake Clinic, we are able to treat this condition with success almost every time, no matter the condition’s severity. In fact, most patients will find that they get immediate relief from neck and upper back pain after the first few treatments, and significant relief within 6 visits. The most important factor in order to successfully treat neck pain is to relieve muscle tension in the affected area. For example, all posterior neck muscles are attached to the occipital bone and therefore, it is critical to relieve muscle tightness here to allow the trapezius, splenius, levator scalpulae, and SCM muscles to release any trapped tension. Since the neck and upper back are connected with muscles, we need to see the whole picture of the interconnected muscle groups. Needles are usually inserted at the origin of the muscle groups to relax the muscle and reduce inflammation. Once we identify issues in the structure like cervical spine subluxation, pinched nerves like C2 or the suprascapular nerve, we can treat with acupuncture, our special stone massage, posture correction to name a few. We strive to give patients the best and more efficient care so that they can “live life with less pain”.
