Five elements in Nature
Five elements consist of Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. It is from the observation of nature. Water is winter. During the winter season, a seed stores information and energy. Wood is the spring. Germination starts from the seed at a warm temperature. Fire is the summer. With heat, a plant grows. Metal is the fall season. It changes fruits and vegetables to harvest with a cool temperature. Then it transforms to the seed with cold temperature. Earth is the between seasons to transform from one element to another element.
Five elements in the car
Let’s think about the car. We need to have gas as Water. Wood would be an engine start. Fire is the acceleration and speed. Since the earth is in the middle, it can be a handle to adjust the direction. Metal is the brake. Without a break, it’s dangerous to drive. We also cannot drive without gas. Which one is the important element? We cannot drive well without each element.
Five elements in the day
Let’s think about the day. We need to have some time to plan for the day. How we are going to spend time. The planning function is wood. When we work, we need to pour our energy. It’s Fire. But work is not by ourselves. It got to work with someone. With meetings, you discuss how you work together to get jobs done. It’s Earth. What about the Metal? We need to make a decision on which direction we need to go. Water is the rest. Without proper rest or sleep, our body cannot function.
